Episode 26: Attack of the Faceless People
We get evidence that the Herculoids have an interstellar reputation as heroes--the princess runs to them for help while escaping the Faceless people. Also, either Zandor and Tara have encountered her before or they stay aware of interstellar politics--because they immediately recognize her and grasp her political situation.
The episode gives the impression that the fortress of the Faceless people is ON Amzot, but I actually don't think this is true. The Faceless people apparently have their own planet and are trying to conquer the princess' Sun Planet, so why set up a base on Amzot, where you have to deal with dangerous flora and watch out for the Herculoids? Of course, one good reason would be to get access to energy rocks and other mineral resources, but the idea of the fortress being on Amzot just doesn't sit right for me.
So, it is a decision that is up for debate, I'm placing the Faceless People's fortress on their own planet in a nearby solar system.
We know that the Herculoids have a automated rocket base on Amzot they can use to send prisoners off to the appropriate authorities. They must have an interstellar communication system there as well. So, after Tara is kidnapped and taken to the Faceless People's planet, the princess uses this com system to call up a faster-than-light rocket from her own planet. (The same rocket we see her using to fly home at the end.) This transports Zandor and the Herculoids to the Faceless People's planet, which is where the climatic battle takes place.
This, plus placing the Sun Planet and Faceless planet in other solar system, just "feels right" to me, but I concede it is a debatable point.
But, if we go with my idea, then we have not added any new information about Amzot's flora and fauna in this episode. The map in the previous post is still up-to-date at this point.
